Fellow Winchester pre 64 lovers and loons, I have a nice easy 90% + .243 Target I would like to move, Did not I have the same gun in the Varminter I would not move it. Im living by a self imposed rule that one has to go before another comes home...... My guest room is chock full of Winchesters! I have found a very nice std in 22 hornet and Ive chased a hornet for years, but this one ( or others) must go first !!!!
I think I have done a range report and have photos,if not I will do today. As you guys know the only difference in the Target and Varminter is the Marksman vs Fwt stock with an opened barrel channel, Im not sure on actual numbers of 243 targets, I will check on that.

Tell us about the Hornet.

Mr GSP, its a nice mid 50's std in 90 to 95% with the org. sling and Buelher (sp?) mounts and an internal adjustment Unertl scope, guy inherited family farm in upstate NY many years ago and bought it for woodchucks, the son thinks it has less than 2 boxes of ammo thru it ,one is a half used box or yellow box Super X Says the brass frogs on the sling is green. Ive been talking with this guy for 2 years or more on another site, he says he has not shot it since he was a kid and just does not shoot centerfires, he is a shotgunner or was years ago. very best WinPoor
