With several recent threads on different models of Winchester shotguns of late, let's continue!!! Got any good shots of your favorite shotgun while afield? Let's See em!!

Last January. End of deer season in Deep South Texas and it was the best quail season I've seen in at least 35 years! 20 minutes around the cabin and I got these and three more for supper! We paired them with some steaks!!! I said to heck with deer hunting and hunted quail all weekend!

What fun!

Unfortunately his pup days are in the past. But he's still getting it done.

smile ! My old model 12 is my pheasant getter!

Great pics!
Thanks,

I've considered selling the other field shotguns and having a Model 12 16ga fitted up right and snazzed up well.

However as plain jane as the Model 59 may be, you would have to look hard to fined a more efficient Eastern Ruffed Grouse shotgun.
I'm starting to have second thoughts about the model 59 being ugly.
They even made a 59 in Pigeon grade and even that didn't help. Still, I've no plans to turn mine loose. wink
great pics!
I don't have any pics of my brother and I using Dad's '28 Mdl 12. It's a modified choke solid rib field grade gun.
My brother and I have each killed a buck with it. My brother has shot a couple of low flying snow geese with it during a heavy fog that forced the snows down from the stratosphere. Also a fair amount of doves and a few ducks.
I bought a '50 model 12 field grade with a modified choke but just haven't used it. Maybe this fall.

I don't think they were near as ugly as some of the stuff now being produced! I seriously considered one when we had that gaggle of them at the shop. There were at least two nice ones in that sounder! laugh

Get that 12 out this season too! Use it! Want to see more in the field pics!!!!
Let's keep it going....This a great Winchester thread idea. cool

Parker by Winchester; Mixed bag day and a nice Deer shed find.

Model 12.

First Birds Merlot had shot over him.

[Linked Image]

Hot nasty day and I didn't blame him for jumping into a mud puddle.

Rain kept his motor pretty cool this day.

Model 59.

Two firsts. I think it is Toby's first Grouse and my first one with the 59. Nope, when I think of it. Toby had made the cut earlier.

Love that last one Battue!!! Great shot!

Heck I don't have anymore pics. So others are going to have to contribute!!!
Nice stuff.. Too bad I am not a real ww fan! Like em just don't own many ! Keep it rolling love pics of dogs ,game and guns!,
I am hoping to add to this thread when I get back home! I'll kiss the wife and kiss and grab the shotgun and be off! Ha ha yeah right, after being gone for 11 months she would use my new model 12 on me if I tried that!
Great idea for the W. forum, but times change and most of the younger crowd think Beretta, Benelli, Franchi, etc. I picked up both of those old Model 12 16's for under $300 and the 59 for the same. They pay over $1000 for the others and think they have the something special. They work fine and if it makes them enjoy their days afield that's what counts.

However, hope there are a few others out there that may join in. Would enjoy seeing what they have.

My dad has some old model 12 16 gauges. I use a lefty Remington 870.... blush. Cool pictures battue. Your dogs love having their pictures taken.
Great pics of the model 12 in action . Might have to take a few of mine this fall and add to the thread.

Same here Battue. Didn't pay over $300 for any of mine either. I'm down to 3 Model 12's now. Sold 2 this past winter. I have one really nice one mfg in 1916. Solid rib. I'll try to get a pic of it posted later!

PS!
Wifey loved that pic of Toby too!!! laugh
