Well, it appears the barreled action is sold. Now for the stock. This is a Mcmillan pre 64 monte carlo pattern Swirly for a pre 64 model 70 375 H&H. Giving you guys a heads up and first dibs before it goes to classifieds or ebay. It fit perfectly on the barreled action, but you'll have to glass bed it to your action. Will work on all other pre 64's, but the barrel channel is opened up to allow for the 25" 375 H&H barrel right now. This is a beautiful stock and extremely rigid. Price is going to be $400.00 shipped. Shipped priority and insured. Let me know if you are interested. Stock won't be sold until I know Gunner is 100% happy with barreled action. Thanks:

It will be hard to replace this 375. It's a damn good rifle. I just don't see myself hunting elephants any time soon... laugh

I'm gonna take your old rifle to Africa some day, and out West for Elk, and maybe up North for the big bears too, I gotta start making a history with that fine rifle.
In the meantime, it will be knocking the crap outta deer and pigs with 300 gr Partitions. cool

It still needs a recoil pad, but it should work out great. Rifle's all glass bedded and ready to rock and roll. wink .
That is going to be one hell of a fun shooter grade pre-64 375 BSA, many Thanks for all the help my friend.smile
No problem buddy. I hope you enjoy the hell out of it. It's a great shooting rifle. Bore is still like new...
IMR and H-4350, RL-17 and 300 gr Partitions and Swift A-Frames await! wink

What a beautiful Rifle!
Gunner--why not grab the Mickey stock to go with it? You never know when you're going to want a rough-n-tumble stock for some hard work somewhere.

Damn that's a nice looking rifle.... grin
Many Thanks Woods Walker, this rifle is a Rube Goldberg extraordinaire, the barreled action came from BSA, the stock came from BobinNH, and the M8-3X Leupold scope that I'll install came from Dirtfarmer, any small parts will come from pre64win from right here on the 'Fire too. grin

I just can't bear to see all these parts and pieces lying about without trying to get them put together into a good shooting iron.

Thought long and hard on that Dakota Deer, I have a form of retardation that wont allow me to put a syn stock on an "old" bigger bore hunting rifle, can't shoot plastic tipped or copper hollow point bullets in them either.

If a 300 gr Partition, Swift A-Frame or BBW #13 solid wont get it done, I'll save the last round for myself. grin

BWAAHAHAHA, you've seen that stick before Bob? laugh
IMR 4064 has always been very good in 375 H&H.

For 260 gn Partitions use 70.0 grains (2710fps)

For 300 gn Partitions I use 66.5 grains (2450 fps).

I use 69.0 grains in 260 grains Solids(2700 fps).

These loads were in my 25" pre 64 Win 70.

Now to get this thread back on track! smile
Ah, we was having fun though... laugh. I'd just as soon save the stock for you until you come to your senses though... laugh whistle
LOL, a solid stick it is indeed, but my have I muddied up your thread. grin
No you haven't. Besides, I was waiting for Ken to start posting pictures of bunnies he's shot with his 460. Then it would be muddied, but well worth the price of admission... laugh Hell, come to think about it, this would be a good stock for his 300 H&H... wink
10-rahjah! on that, it aint everywhere you get to see 460'd hopalongs! laugh
Reminds me of when I used 20 gauge slugs. Rabbits flew everywhere.... laugh
Damn, easy pickings for the "buzzard buffet cleaning crew." shocked ;]

I would try one of these first.
Yup, back in the day, WW-760 has made a couple 375's sing a very pretty song, as in 300 grains at 2700 pretty. cool
I use IMR-4350 and a 300 gr Sierra for 2630 fps in my .375 H&H Winchester Super Express. Have not killed any rabbits or bigger game with it,but suspect it do the job. wink
When you guys find some H4350, let me know... I haven't seen that chit around here for years!!!!!
Wish you were closer BSA, I can get piles of it here.
BSA, if I could find a way to ship you powder, I'd trade you two 8 lb jugs of H4350 for that stock! It would work perfectly on my 375. How much does it weigh?

Man, if yours is a pre 64 model 70 this would be just the ticket. Ask gunner what a biotch it is just to find a close to original wood stock. He's still looking!!! As for the weight of this swirly, it weighs 35.2 OZ's. It's a tad heavier than an original wood fwt stock, but lighter than a std wt. or magnum stock. LOP is 13 5/8" with a 1" pachmayr decelerator recoil pad. If we could work a deal on one of those 8 pound jugs and some cash, that would be cool. PM me if you want to talk a deal. Price is also going to be dropped to $375.00 shipped. Thanks..

Somebody needs a fine stock, I've thought of asking if the marble can be sanded off and repainted my favorite black and purple spatter pattern, yes, black and purple, like a big ole new bruise. grin
That's funny gunner. I'm glad you like your new rifle, buddy. That swirly is bad azzed just like it is. I'll keep it if I have to. I don't want to see it painted up all black and purple like a bruise... laugh eek
LOL, black and purple is purty Man, Darren75 here on the fire painted one of my boomers up that way. laugh

338 cal, 300 grains at 3000 fps, yes, big ole bruise. laugh
Well, the swirly is gone. Thanks for all the interest guys... It's going to a good guy in AK. Should work out great there...
Dang I didn't check this soon enough, I'm the one that bought it. We could have saved the eBay fee. Im super excited about the stock though, I have my working 375 is in a stock that was sanded down and refinished. It is functional, but that about the highest accolade I could give it. So I'm looking forward to getting a really good stock for it
Damn it. Yeah, that could have saved both of us some money. Glad to see it going to a good guy here though. Either way... Damn, I think you are going to like this stock though. It really beats the wood stock hands down for hunting.
