I think I found a 52 B Bull Gun, but I have no idea what I'm looking for besides the barrel diameter at breech. Barrel at the breech was 1 1/8".

Does the crown look correct? Also, the front of the barrel is dovetailed. Is that standard? The finish is very matte as well. I thought these were all blued? The stock is clearly refinished and the rear of the stock looks to be sanded flat with two stud holes filled.

The rifle, along with what I assume is a reproduction Malcom 6x long tube sight, AND a Lyman 524F rear sight and some Lyman 17 front sights is all as a single package. What would you rate the value at for the whole package?

Hi Tackdriver,
I would post a pictures and ask the guys over at rimfirecentral. Very knowledgable people there. I'm thinking that the crown has been cut by looks of the picture. According to the serial number it was built in 1939. Measurement sounds right for a bull barrel. Appears to be a great looking shooter but not sure about collectability or what's it worth.
Sorry about not really answering your question but would definitely ask over at rimfirecentral for more advice. I'm a member there if you want I could ask?

The Win 52 section of rimfire central is a sub forum to the Winchester forum. I bought a 1934 Win 52 at a pawn shop. The guys at RFC told me I had a G.Titherington barrel, Wright-Allen trigger, and Weitek Vaver rear sight. I would have never figured that out.

There's a ton to know about 52s, just like M70s isn't there? It doesn't take long to figure out just how ignorant you (I) are (am) while surfing the Win 52 forum over at RFC.
