Several years ago there was a 24hour campfire group buy on Montana Rifle Company X2 in 260. If I'm not mistaken, there were only either 6 or 7 left hand rifles included in the Campfire group buy. I was one of the lucky ones to get in on the Left Hand group buy. Did anyone else get in on that buy? I absolutely love this rifle. It's a tack driver and so easy to carry in the woods. I tried to attach a picture of mine, but for some reason I can't remember how to post a pic.

Figured out how to post a pic.
Had one of those. They were advertised to be pretty light. Turned out to be almost as heavy as my 6.5x55 rebarreled Winchester Model 70, which had a better feel. Sent the Montana down the road.

Same here, I had a lefty special. Great rifle but just a little heavy.

She looks kinda sexy from here, what is the weight has pictured?
I'm not sure how much it weighs. I have never weighed it. I hike up down the East Tennessee hills with it with no issues though. This rifle will put 5 shots right on top of each other with a stiff dose of H4350 and a 129 gr Interbond. This one will be with me for a long time.
I had a 6.5x55 itch at that time. Tagged onto the group buy with a LH X2 chambered 6.5x55. Same green color stock. Same fluted barrel. Ended up on a long action. Likewise, accurate rifle. And one of the slickest factory actions that I have owned. Ended up selling it for something else that I don't remember...
I wasn't part of the group buy, but I have an X2 in .260 and love it, although I've had somewhat erratic feeding that I'm working to resolve. I'm about to replace my mag spring with a 98 Mauser spring as some others have suggested.

Regarding the weight, I replaced the bottom metal with PTG lightweight and use Talley lightweight rings and it's about perfect. I had my barrel threaded for using a suppressor, but might also decide to chop the barrel 2" and re-thread, just to make it balance a little better. Waiting on a new Deadair Nomad Ti to see if it balances better than the regular stainless Nomad that I have, before I make that decision.
Sweet looking rig
Very nice looking rifle, glad you are happy with it.
I was in on the original pre-production LH offering where they were trying to raise the capitol to produce just the actions, seems like it was close to 20 years ago already? Believe the action price was around $425 and a person also got a letter stating that you could buy another action at the same discounted price in the future. I got a LH short action at the time and was quite surprised at the size and weight of it. Barrelled it up for 250/3000 Savage.
Very nice!! Wanted one when they were offered, but was long on want and short on cash at the time. Since then have added a different make/model of 260 Rem to the rotation. Very much dig the round.
