WTS - LH Forbes .270 SS Barrel - 04/28/16
The purge starts: As new Left Hand Forbes rifle chambered .270Win. Alloy receiver. Stainless barrel. Black stock with gray speckles (looks dark gray). Have been handling this rifle, a RH Kimber Ascent, and LH Stiller in Pacific Research Rimrock stock. I like the Forbes ergos the least of the 3. Since I picked up the rifle NIB earlier this month, I:
> Fired 6 rounds to check function. It feeds and ejects with zero issues.
> Put 500 reps on the bolt with oil. When the bolt is lubed, it is now approaching the "slickness" of my MRC rifles.
> Used a flat file to remove 0.035" off the bottom of the mag box. Also smoothed out the bottom of the mag well in the stock. The mag box now just barely wiggles between the action and the stock when everything is bolted together. Snug, but no binding.
> Did not touch any of the full length bedding.
> Did not fire for accuracy.
Will try to post pictures this weekend. However, looks just like any of the other Forbes rifles that have been posted.
$1,000 shipped and insured to your FFL in the same hard case that I received it in. Rings and paperwork included.
