I bought mine in Germany but was able to bring it home differently being that I'm in the military. It looks like I've sourced another Drilling in Germany and may begin the process of importing it through the normal channels. Who knows how the process works out? If it works out...I may be selling my Simson.

I hope you are able to find a reasonable methods. I have periodic trips to Europe and researched bringing back some guns. It seemed that it would cost about a grand, so I gave up.

I've imported a bunch of Huglus from Turkey and a custom rifle from Canada. I am not seeing the costs you are talking about. None has cost anything of consequence to bring in for a single, non-commercial import.
