FWIW, a scope that I like a lot on my Savage 24 rimfires is the discontinued(?) Bushnell Banner 4x20, item # 71-4220-0. I have one on my favorite woods-loafing Savage 24, a 22M/410, and it is just the right size and magnification for that combination. Installed with B-Square 3/8" groove to Weaver adapters and their low Sport Utility rings.

I had a Weaver K-3 and a Lyman Alaskan on the two I owned in the past. I sold them, and now I don't have squat to show for it.

I miss those little Classics.
