This is why I am selling some guns now. It's an unfired as-new Simson Mdl 95 in 16/70mm and 7X65R with a new Zeiss Diatal/ZM 6X42 MC in a swing mount.

This model drilling has a top tang safety and the rifle barrel selector in front of the safety. No more arthritic thumb trying to work the Greener side safety.

For $100.00 more the seller threw in a solid Gbr. Adamy 16ga SXS.

HOOOOLEY COW!!!! That is fantastic!!! Good on you. I have always dreamed of something like that, but dream is all I'll ever do. But it is good to see some people have their dreams come true and I can sure see why you are happy about it. Heck, I am happy for you too.
The Adamy double has some wood blems and a piece out of the forend, but it's a rock solid gun.

My grandson has already talked me out of it. He didn't know I got it for him all along. wink

It appears to have been used as a slug gun; it has claw mount bases.

The bores are pristine, and it's a 70mm chambered gun with chokes close to mod and IM.

I need to fix some scallop cracking on the right cheek.
You must be living right and putting a lot of money in the collection plate.
Gotta sell a bunch to offset this one.

Drillings for sale!

Beautiful drilling Bruce! Congrats!!!

Jeff
Beautiful gun.
Bruce,

It looks like that dog will hunt!
Sweet!

You going to be around for lunch next week? It's that time of the year for me ànd Trooper to be rolling through. PM me.
Absolutely!! My treat. wink
Awesome drilling. Thanks for sharing.
That's a mighty nice Simpson. I run across quite a few shotguns with claw mount bases. They liked a gun that they could do anything with. You might also find a notched extractor indicating it had an insert barrel also.
Didn't have the notch, but I sometimes use the edge of the insert extractor and the edge of the shotgun extractor as my witness mark. I works as well as the notch, but it isn't as handy or fast.
Very fine!!

About half my inserts (einstecklaufs) don't have the locating pins. I just scribe a line across the insert extractor and the shotgun extractor and line em up. Works just as good. A little harder to do in the dark, up in a tree stand smile
grin grin
Beautiful drilling!
Bruce I saw where one was IMP CYL. My brother got some of his best accuracy from that choke shooting slugs. powdr
Sitting in doctor's office, waiting for my eye repair...Some drillings were regulated at the rt barrel for slugs. I will experiment a bit with all of them.
My guess is the grandson and the dogs will enjoy spending a day in the field with you enjoying a day in the field with your new Drilling!

Thanks for sharing it with us.
