I'm not sure if we need this thread what with the other aches, and pains thread, but, why not?

My wife seems to delight in telling me I am getting shorter.
I'm sure I am, but I'd rather ignore a few things as I get older.

You?

Got our small garden in today. Isn't that what geezers do?

My wife is always telling me that I'm getting deafer by the day and I need hearing aids.
After I say "HUH?" and she repeats it, I always disagree with her.
I have no idea why she keeps telling me that.

The years back, we returned to Iowa after fishing through 3 feet of lake ice in NW Ontario in early April.
My father-in-law would get back from wintering in Texas, and talk about the corn being six, or eight leaves tall.
Latitude makes a huge difference.

58 this morning! (37 yesterday). I'll wait another couple of weeks on the okra. I have n old
Pear tree completely bloomed and leafed out! Well it was two weeks ago. Started blooming before Valentine's Day.

Want to build me a big raised bed for onions and garlic. I'll get around to it sometime.

Woody, can you double crop any plants?
Two crops a year that is.

For the first time, I had to pay someone to work on a vehicle. The brake lines on my Chevy truck were rusted bad, been reading where they blow a hole in themselves at some point. Took a look, and I decided I wasn't going to fight that in the gravel driveway.

Yes Wayne, I lost a step to first base, and a foot off my fastball about twenty years back.

I planted some cabbage and broccoli in the high tunnel, and some peas and potatoes in the garden. I have a 10 year old granddaughter who loves to help me garden, so I took advantage of the help. Isn't that what us geezers use grandkids for, making them do the bending over and the dirty work.
