I set out some fish traps in order to catch some Utah chubs to use for cut bait. I baited the the traps with bread and checked them the next day. No fish, but these dang crawdads were in the traps. Who knew they ate bread? Anyway not being one to pass up an opportunity I introduced them to a pot of crab boil and had a most enjoyable snack last night. That's what they get for messing around in my minnow traps.

looks delicious.
What are you using cut bait for? I'm allergic to shellfish so enjoy your snack but if I caught them they would be free to go.
Waste not want not. Well done.
Looks good!
Targets, of opportunity !!!
Cutbait works well when tipping a jig for cutthroat trout. If they are being picky, a little cutbait often solves the problem.
Learn something new every day.
Nice usually when I set my trap it’s where I can actually see the mins and chubs.
Delicious stuff there very nice!

It's typical to tip the jigs with whole Lahontan Redsides when jigging after Lake Trout in Lake Tahoe and Donner lake...
