I took my brother-in-law up trolling for trout today.
Nice to get up to 8,000 feet, and out of the valley heat.
As expected, the fishing is slow mid summer, but we managed to get 8 in the boat.
I caught my biggest trout in years, a 21 inch, 4 1/2 lb Rainbow

Just goes to show that you can have big fish or lots of fish, but not both. Nothing wrong with enjoying that scenery while waiting for the next fish. Nice catch!

Courtright lake, central Sierras in Calif, near Fresno.

Congrats, that's the best trout I've seen or heard of from Courtright. I used to fish that lake three or four times a year till the air got too thin for me. How deep, flashers and bait or a lure? Thanks for the photos.

Flashers and a night crawler, at about 10 feet.
2 minuets later I got an 18" rainbow.
