I went up solo today, keeping the world safe from 12" trout. (OK, that ones more like 10", but some were 15" to 17")

Good photos, thanks. How deep were you fishing? Looks like Courtright but seems way too early in the season. Shaver, Huntington?

Courtright is still under snow.
The gate at Dinky is scheduled to open May 1st, but the road up to Courtright probably won’t be passable for another week or two after that.
This was on Mammoth pool, I think it’s about 3,500 ft.

I caught fish on the surface, and down to twenty feet.
Rapala J-7s and J-11s, and a few on flasher rigs (think home made “Dave-Davis”)

Thanks for the info. You earned those fish that's a tough drive.

Yup, 2 1/2 hours of twisty and bumpy.

Beautiful scenery, trout or not.

Those are perfect eating size!

Sometimes I practice catch and release
Sometime catch and grease
