Minnesota north shore or Wisconsin or Michigan?
I'd rather pull them out of the river over a charter boat. If a person wanted to hit a few good tributaries where would you head? I haven't put my hands on a brown or steel sense I left NY and it's about breaking me. Where would be the best bet for size over quantity?
Good question. They are about down in the Milwaukee area . I imagine some a lot of rivers like the Black river. in upper Michigan is still running. I would call bait shops if I were you.
I'll have to read up on the Black
I wasn't really planning anything until fall rolls around. That way I could double up steelhead and deer scouting. I'd love to find a place where I could get away from everyone and fish with a deer tag in my pocket and a rifle on my shoulder.
The way it looks, deer and fish numbers here in northern MN are pretty piss poor. I'll still head to the North Shore this fall, but for a serious combo trip I should probably plan on a non resident license.
