I cast a chatter bait over a brush pile and a nice bass ate it. She went over a limb and broke my line. After fishing the brush pile a little more I cranked up and went across the lake. On the way back to the ramp about 2 hours later I decided to fish the brush pile again. As I was fishing the bass jumped and I could see the chatter bait in her mouth.

A friend has a bass break him off on a spinner bait. About two hours later we stop and fished a brush pile about 100 yards away. Droped in a jig and up it came with his spinner in its mouth

Did y'all catch the fish on the jig or did she just jump?

I have caught fish with lures in their mouth before. Also one with a metal stringer with the large snaps on it. I was telling a coworker about it and he told me he had lost the stringer with the bass on it the weekend before about a mile and 1/2 from where I caught it.
