The DNR announced today that they will shut down Mille Lacs for walleye fishing for three weeks in July. This is the first time they have totally shut down the lake. What a shame to see what has been allowed to happen up there. The report didn't say if the Indians will still net this spring or not. They better get this figured out pretty quick.
It really sucks for the resort owners, guides, and all the people who have income tied to Mille Lacs. The tribe is the only one making money up there. It bugs me that so many Minnesotans continue to spend their money at that damned casino.
