Im an exterminator by trade and several weeks ago as I was doing a job in a house I spied an old double barrel sitting in the back of a closet. Asked the homeowner if I could look at it, he obliged. When he handed it to me I knew exactly what he was handing me. He told me it was his wife's grandfather's gun. For whatever reason they wanted to sell it. I made him an offer and I took it home.

It's a 16 ga Ithaca Flues #1 Special. Manf. 1916. Gun is a little rough but in fairly good shape to be 108 yrs old. Gun shoots like a charm.

I have an old Field grade 16 ga Ithaca Flues that was my father's. Don't know actual year of production, can't make out the serial number.

Very nice! (Appreciate the actual spelling of Ithaca rather than the Campfire standard "Ithica".)
