First time I have ever posted here.

We were in Vieques (little island south of Puerto Rico) last week and I went out for bonefish for the day. I had read a report of excellent fishing. Per my guide, Franco, there is only two flats on the southeast end of the island that are known to hold bonefish and there are two guides serving the area. I fished the larger of the two flats, about 5 acres, saw some VERY spooky fish, and missed my only opportunity at a hook up. Franco was fun to fish with but I would never say this was excellent fishing.

Chris, the other guide, pulled in and spoke with us when we were leaving the flat. He had seen one group of bones during his first three hours of fishing.

Not my idea of bonefishing - but a nice relaxing island to visit.
