A Sako in a McMillan is really close to perfection imo. Looks great!

Harv it was 7lbs and 8oz with the old stock.
I choose the regular fiberglass stock so it would be up in the 7.75lb range.
and yep it feels like beautiful, I'm spoiled.

I bought the full installation job from McMillan so I didn't fit the stock to the rifle. Cost wise I got a break because I got it through Rick's Christmas special.

5 Months
It takes 20 weeks for the regular "get a stock made" interval pluse 2 extra weeks if your having them do a full installation job with pillar bedding.
So this year I'm hoping Rick will have another Xmas special - the time frame works great!
My next one will be a swirly 60% black, 20% white, 20% dark gray for a Stainless 300 WSM Sako 85.

I have the same rifle as your second one - the Stainless 85 in 300wsm. I would love to do the same stock but its just not practical to send my rifle over to the U.S. for fitting.
What is the cost of the stock?

Full install is another $260 (done by McMillan)
right around 700, or have your own smith bed it and order just the stock for $435.

It's a 85 Finnlight in 270 Winchester.
The 85 will fit into the older McMillan hunter stock, but not the newer 75 type.

I bet that Finnlite feels very different with that Macmillan stock to the original. I know it would fit me like a glove.....

It does feel better than the original finnlight stock. Very solid, but light, and crisp.
Damn McMillan stocks are addictive, I have the exact same stock on my Model 70 358 winchester, but in the edge version so the weight is right about the same on both rifles.
