If you had a Ti action and a new Pacnor lightweight barrel, Who would you recommend/use to put together a 25-06AI? Emphasis on quality work, accuracy, and resell value.

Dunno if I've ever had anything done worrying about resale....

There's plenty of qualified accuracy gunsmiths, beyond the 2 or 3 usual suspects, at your disposal with a little research. I have never, nor would I, wait a year or more for a gun to be built.

I like to spread the wealth. Mickey built my .223, Harold Fredd built my .308 & .338, Karl is building my .260, Lee is building my .280AI, and I've got a .257 Roy that a local guy is supposed to build (we'll see on this one). Mickey and Harold both built nice rifles for me...no complaints on my part. Karl has done a bunch of little stuff for me and his work is top notch. Lee has been great to deal with and has the quickest turnaround by far.

Got three in progress right now, the rest are already built. The .260 won't be ready until around Christmas. Lee has the action and barrel for the .280AI, and I'm about 10 weeks into the wait on the McMillan for it. The parts for the Roy are all here and ready to go, just have to get the ok from the smith to drop them off. I'll have a few options come deer season...

I don't mind waiting a year for a custom if I'm told up front that it will be a year. However, what does pi$$ me off is waiting over a year for a custom that had a delivery date of 7 months b/c an agency request was put in front of mine. I'm still waiting for a tactical build and getting closer every day to just asking for my money back.

Did that twice, happy with the result, keeps it all under one roof if you have a problem.

Oh well, I did what you are not suppose to do. I shot the donor. First load went just over a inch at 200 yards. Looks like I now need another donor. Not a bad problem to have I guess. A 270 that will put 3 130's very sub moa and weighs 6# 8oz scoped.

I bought an older model Ti in 300 saum earlier this year. Was happy to find it. WOW does it shoot!
Purchased a box of 165 core lockt's to zero scope in. Shot 1, center and 2 inches high. Next five shots are in a tight cluster that looks like a 3 leaf clover. Very good to shot off hand too.
This is my first Remington 700, and I am not sure if I just got lucky or if most of thier Ti's shoot this well. Mine does not have a thin countour barrel which might help. I am right around 7 pounds with Talley ss detachables and scope.
Bought dies and brass. $35 plus for a box of factory hurts.
