9422 stainless?

There is a local fellow wanting to sell a 9422 mag, looks to be stainless in the pics and had something that looks like a concho or medallion in the buttstock. Any idea about this rifle? I didn't realize that there was a stainless 9422 made, or are my eyes fooling me?
Any guess as to value?

Your eyes aren't fooling you, they're getting fooled. 
Winchester never made any stainless steel 9422's AFAIK, but some commemorative models were made with a plated receiver - either silver (on some models), pewter (most likely what you saw, or gold.
Just like their big brother commemoratives.

Thanks for the info, turns out he 'customized' it by polishing off the bluing and planting a coin into the stock. Passed on it since he didn't want the bubba-ed up value.
