Hot weather and nightly thunderstorms kept the hogs and coons under cover this weekend. Thankfully, the bullfrogs cooperated and saved the hunting trip.
We got in some range practice.
He has his own 10/22 rifle. But prefers to use Dad's "tricked out" version.
The scrap lumber pile produced a new deer blind.
Kicked back watching DVD's and enjoying the air conditioning. Did I say it was HOT this weekend?

I suppose we don't have to ask who your favourite hunting buddy is! Jim

When I was a kid some of my friends would wade along the side of the river and feel for bullfrogs in holes along the bank. They would pull some monsters sometimes, but I was scared to try this, never know what is inside those holes, snakes, turtles, etc.

Here in Texas some of our bull frogs are black and have fangs. They are also called CottonMouths. Prefer to do my bullfrog catchin' with a cane pole from the other side of the ditch.

Hunting bullfrogs for the pot with a handgun is one of my all-time favorite hunts. But when I got to Washington, I was informed that it's illegal.
Who the hell made up that rule?

It was likely penned by Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi & that other stupid Democrat woman from California.

I doubt seriously that you will have any trouble out of that young man, other than keeping him from shooting up all of your .22 LR ammo... Good job!

Looks as if you and your son had a great time.
What State??
We used to take quite a few bullfrogs when I was a kid in northcentral Arkansas.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. Judging from the pictures, it looks like ya'll are somewhere east of the caprock in Texas. Kinda looks like an area between Post and Snyder.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. My Place is near Aspermont. We eat bull frogs, they taste just like..... bull frogs. The boys eat the legs, I like the backs.
