Was able to partake of some easy fishing for bows at a private golf course yesterday evening. Caught 3 trout on the first 4 casts with a peacock herl BH nymph. A BH hares ear did well also.

This guy was leaving the tee box after hitting a nice draw down the left side of the fairway.

Nice, all around.
They're still shedding? A little hot down there, isn't it?

Rob, This course is one of the top 100 private courses. Perfect would be having a 4 weight in the bag and having to let a few groups play through as you "retrieve a ball?" from a water hazard.
I get to sample the waters again next Tuesday (insert big smile). The fly swap flies will be given a test whirl.

If I was hitting a ball on that course, the most dangerous place to be standing would be anywhere near the water....

That could almost be Estes Park. The Big Thompson runs through the course and elk are a regular hazard. That's a nice looking fish.

Last evening we hit another pond which contains largemouth bass and trout. An olive simi seal leech caught a few small 6" bass and had a lot of short nibbles, so I went to a GH hares ear. Caught a couple 12" rainbows and more small bass. The fighting frenzy of one small bass attracted a larger 3# bucketmouth, which tried to swallow the smaller, hooked bass. Had a nice tug on the 5 weight as long as the larger bass held the baitfish I caught in its mouth.
