I call it this for lack of a better name.

The blade is held in the handle by two 1/4 inch stainless steel screws. To use, the rear screw is taken out and the front screw loosened about 1/4 turn. The blade is swiveled around, and the rear screw replaced in the hole shown in front of the bolster, giving another new and sharp blade.

The hex key fits into a little pouch on the sheath.
It is somewhat odd, but it really works.
ATS 34 blade, Nickle silver bolsters, and black polycrylic for the handle. Nickle silver liners under the handle scales, for added rigidity.

That's a cool knife - I think it would be ideal for the survivalist.
What did you use for the blue handles?

The bolsters are Nickle Silver.
The handle material is something called, IIRC Black Polyester Pearl. It is a shiny plastic with swirls in it.

I thought that, too, or on a hunting trip where you might need a another sharp blade without going to the trouble to sharpen the one you have.
Anyway, it should stay sharp TWICE as long as a single bladed knife.
