I have a Kearshaw pocket knife on which I would like to switch the bracket mounts to anoterh position. The screw heads are miniscule in size -- abpuit the size of a ball point pen point --and of the type most modern scope rings employ, kind of an inented star burst arrangement.

Does anyone know where such fine tools can be found?

Thanks in advance.

I dont recall the number size of the screws but they are Torx heads and I was able to find the appropriate size at the local warehouse hardware store. In a pinch you can use the tiny slot screwdrivers from an eyeglass kit to resecure them. I had one Kershaw where they continually worked loose once I switched the clip around, dab of loctite took care of that.

Sears carries them also for their magnetic 1/4" driver, but in sets not singles that I`ve seen.

My mistake. They do offer single torx bits

Wiha makes very small (and very high quality) Torx and other type bits and drivers.

Thanks guys,

I did not find the right torx tool at a Home Depot but did find a set of elctronics tools at a radio Shack that had just what I needed!

The belt clip now rides in the place where the factory should have mounted it for a right handed user. The triggering lever now comes into position quickly and naturally, and the overall 'feel' of the knife is much improved. And yes the original screws were set in Lock-Tyte.

Regards,
