Sure do wish you guys would shut up about those Tikkas and how well they shoot, and how light they are, and how easy the bolt works, and...
There's a dealer on gunbroker selling blued LH T3's in .270 and IIRC .300 and 270 WSM for $379, .30-06's for $399. Then Sportsman's Warehouse has a couple of LH stainless 270's for just over $600 out the door.
Like I need another chrome-moly .270. A stainless one, maybe. But then, $379 ($409 delivered here and w/ FFL fee added) for a straight shooting, lightweight rifle in my second favorite caliber of all time. Hmmm.
Like I said, sure do wish you guys would keep this stuff to yourself.

That's good shooting!
My T3 in 300 WSM shoots Federal factory 165 TSX into 300 yard five shot groups of about 2 1/2". I havn't bothered to spend a lot of time reloading for it, it is such a time saver shooting the factory loads.

I have 3 T3's and an older 695 and all of them are shooters, the T3 are scary accurate with MANY different loads. Not uncommon to shoot 3 shot groups with every bullet touching. I have a savage varmint rig thats no slouch either when it comes to accuracy, but my T3 varminter out shoots it with a load I developed specifically for that savage!

Yesterday a friend and his wife came over for shooting and supper. She has never shot before and my wife went out with her and took a Browning BL22. She gave safety talk and familiarization, some sound advice and some correction in stance and such for the first few shots. After 20 rounds Laurie wanted to shoot centre fire so my wife got a 257 Bob and they shot a box of ammo. She kept everything in 3 inches at 100 meters which was pretty good for a novice and shooting off sticks. Her husband shot about 4 inches and would not listen to advice.
I got home from work and Laurie asked if she could shoot my moose gun so I brought out my Tikka T3 light in 30-06.
I explained the gun would push back farther but that the limbsaver recoil pad would cusion the impulse time so that it would feel little different from the Bob. It is 7 pounds with a 3x9 Leupold VX2. The ammo Hornady 165 BTSP, powder H414 at 57 grains.I coached her on breathing and trigger squeeze and although the rifle bucked with her( she weighs maybe 120 lb) she shot 5 separate 3 shot groups over an 3/4 hour period which ran between 1.5 and 2.5 inches, off shooting sticks with a novice shooter. I was impressed with her, but more so with the rifle. Now all I have to do is follow my own advice and shoot better

I bought one of those LH Tikka T3 Lites in 270WSM for $399 shipped from Tanners Sports Center who is the guy Jim is referring to. Unbelievable the quality and accuracy of this rifle for $400! I've never shot a factory load in it but every handload I've tried has been sub-MOA out to 300 yards. Just may have to try a box of factory ammo though. I've bought alot of Savages because they're available in LH and they're accurate but the T3 has a better stock, is more accurate, and cheaper.

I own a variety of rifles but recently got a T3 in 300 WSM. As far as I am concerned the T3 set a new standard for accurate out of the box reasonably price rifle. My only complaint is I do wish they would put a better recoil pad on it.

I would like to find a magazine for $50. Last I saw on the net were $69. I think that is insane for a magazine when Glock sells a comparable magazine for $20. I just keep reminding myself that I could have spent several hundred more dollars and not gotten a rifle nearly as accurate. Guess I can spend a few bucks on a spare magazine with the money I saved.

I was looking at a T3 in the store the other day, and the salesman told me it was "just a budget rifle." LOL
This was the same guy that didn't know how to pull the mag out of the Sako.

It started with just ONE now I just paid for Tikka's 5 & 6 (now the CA 10 day wait) this time in .243 and .338 Win Mag.
The Sims limdsaver #10011 recoil pad with their new anti-muzzle jump tech. works great on my 7mm Rem Mag. Will be getting one for the .338 before long.
I sold a pair of M77's after the first Tikka they just had to go...

varmintsinc, you keep shooting at those ranges like that, you'll have to change your tag line!
