Farmer told me about this spot.He was right. There were alot more chucks than I thought.Monday when I go back,I have to come in from a different direction.Should be no problem to add a few more. The 6mmPPC is working very well.

And.

I thought about messing with the load like trying a 55g Ballistic tip.I have used them before and they work great. But I dont see how I gain much over my 65g Hollister load.A 55g BT might blow up more, but I cant see it hanging with the Hollister at 300 yards. The main thing is,you gotta be able to put a hole in it.

Looks like you had a great day. I need to go and do likewise with some of our similar rockchucks sometime soon. At what ranges were you shooting?

A orange hat is required in Pa.The vest is not.But it had my license on it so I just put it on.

safariman.
Im not shooting that far.I have it worked out to 300 and my longed hit was at 286.For this kind of work the 17 Mach IV is bettered suited. But I just cant resist taking the PPC.I like to make ever shot count as the farmer has a habit of counting. That being said I grab the 22 Cheetah when things get longish. In reality I got no complaints about this PPC.I've done some nice shooting and the woodchuck population is getting witteled down to size.Ill keep it up untill the beans are to high to shoot.
