This is my first custom built to MY standards. I have a custom .270 wsm that was already built when I bought it, and I hope this one shoots 1/2 as good.. It looks better, hope it shoots as well!

What it is:

Remington 700 action, overhauled completly. (you all know what that means)
Bell and Carlson stock tan with black spider web color, pillar and glass bedded. Barrel floated.
Trigger shaped, and worked at a CLEAN 2.75-3 lbs.
Talley LW's Lapped and bedded to receiver. Will sport a Zeiss 4.5-14x44 with Turrets. It is on its way to Zeiss for the turrets now
Recessed target crown
#2 shilen 1/10" finished at 25 1/4"
As it sits 7lbs 6 oz.
.257 wby mag.
Named it "El Chupacabra"
All work was done by my gunsmith/buddy Garret of Arizona Custom Rifle.

Good looking piece.

How much for the Zeiss turrets and how long do you expect it to be gone?

I think it means "The" Chupacabra. El = "the" in Mexican.

Well, what Chupacabra directly means is goat sucker...

My theory behind the name: When something mysterioisly dies.. it is blamed on a Chupacabra... Big buck, sittin there eating... I pop him with this gun, and his buddies look up at him and says what happened to hank? "aye way, un chupacabra, vamos" ( a chupacabra, lets get the hell out of here!)

They said it will be done in 15 business days. It is $50 per turret, and $15 for shipping.

Nice rifle. Should do a great job on Coues. What unit did you put in for?
