I would like to add some webbing over the factory gray paint on my Kimber Montana. I have a few questions, some are stupider than others. 1) Has anyione done this with success? 2) Is the webbing spray a matte finish? 3) What can I prep the surface with to make sure the webbing and matte clearcoat stick, without removing the factory finish.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

I knew they were stupid questions, but they weren't rhetorical. Any help would be appreciated.

You had asked about experience painting a Montana stock, I have none. I have used the webbing paint and yes it is Matte or slightly shiny, for prep I have used Alcohol to clean the surfaces and paint away. I do not like the matte clear coat as it seems sticky and wears off easily. I use the shiny stuff and then buff the shine out with a chore boy.
Not stupid questions but limited experience as to painting the Montana stock...
