I'm having a heck of atime finding a powder that meters well and falls through the small funnel correctly and not around the shoulder.
Any help? tried BL(C)-2 and it spilled around the shoulder
Tried Varget and it jammed in the funnel/drop tube
Tried 335, better, but still some spilling.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????

Did you modify your powder drop tubes yet?
Two tricks
1) Polish out the bottom of the Powder measure with emery cloth.
2) You can buy a 1/8 to 1/2 tapered reamer (about $15-20.00) and ream the powder drop bushing until the "shelf" at the case mouth is just slightly smaller than the case mouth.
If your using a powder check you'll also want to turn down the brass on the powder jig just a bit so it doesn't get caught up in the mouth of the case.

No, but I like that idea.
Where did you get the tapered reamer?

So, I called Dillion to ask for a refund on the part, and they told me they would refund the price, but not shipping. I told them the funnel is not made correctly, and causes powder to bridge. They said "in small calibers, bridging is a fact of life."
Could be, but I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, and that's not a fact of life, it's a crappy design. "Them are different things," as they say in Pittsburgh....
For what it's worth, Graf's refunded part, shipping and my cost to send back a defective part last week.

When I load 260 ammo on my Dillon, I use their AT500 powder die and funnel. I throw the charges of RL19 on my RCBS digital powder dispenser. The Dillon measure never metered the coarser stick powders to my satisfaction. I used to have the same problem bridging IMR7828 in the 243 as well. I really don't see how you could design a better system to keep coarse stick powders from bridging in small case necks. That does slow you down some, but it gives you time to check the runout of the last loaded round while its throwing the next charge. I can still pull off 200 rounds/hour
I would be peeved though in your case, spillage around the neck? First I heard that.

Is anybody here having success with the Dillon 550B and the 204 Ruger? I just bought a Dillon and am looking at buying a 204. If there is a lot of problem with a 204, I might just get a 223 instead. I definitely want to load either with the Dillon (for high volume prairie dogs).

I do not load a 204, but a 17, smaller yet. In my opinion, you do not have your powder die adjusted the proper amount. If not right, it will spill powder. I use Ball Powder, and have had troubles when first got press. Once adjusted correctly, no more problems. Have not polished any funnels.
