Hi Guys, well I just ordered a Trijicon 3X9-40 with the amber triangle. Looking at the specs the eye relief appears a little tight. Anyone had any problems? It'll go on a Winchester Featherweight in 270.Also, how good are the optics? From what I've read they appear to be very good. Thanks!

wiktor,

I had my 3-9X40 on a .375 H&H and did not notice any eye relief issues.

The optics are "good enough", I would say they are competitive. I did not do any measuring of resolution though.

I've been using my 3-9 Accupoint on a 7mm Rem. Mag. with no problems. It is a bit less relief than most of my Leupolds, but no "Magnum Eyebrow" yet...

Well, I received the scope and mounted it on my model 70 today. What a nice scope, also, plenty of eye relief. Seems to have more eye relief than others I have that advertise more.Hopefully get to the range on Monday!

How do you like the amber color for the reticle? Does it show up pretty well even in bright daylight? How does it compare to red?

The amber color shows up really well for me.In bright daylight the triangle is also very bright and very easy to see. I haven't looked through one with a red reticle so I don't know how that looks.I have tried to shoot at red and orange targets in the past and those colors tend to get fuzzy or "bleed" on me so I figured I'd avoid that by getting the amber. No complaints at all. The optics so far appear to be very good also.I've just looked throgh the scope so far but I live on the Allegheny river and have been checking out rocks and such on the far shore in various light conditions and am so far very impressed!Hope to get to the range Monday.

Sighted in the model 70 with the Trijicon today. Took a little getting used to the reticle but that didn't take too long. Again shooting good groups with the model 70. Definately no fade issues with that amber triangle, it is bright!Scope focuses well and is very clear.I'm really happy with the scope. Thanks for all the advice Guys!!
