My dad has a 95 Win in 30/40. It's the carbine style with wood over barrel and ladder rear sight. Any load from 150 gr to 180 gr shoots 12" to 18" above point of aim, even with a fine bead and rear sight at its lowest setting. The only load that would print at point of aim was a squib load I'd made up for plinking cans and gophers in the front yard.
The front blade is brass and pinned in. Does anyone know a good source for a taller blade to fix this?
Thanks in advance for the help!

XS Sights makes a taller replacement pin-in front sight blade for Win 1895's - but it's not a "classic" look, as it's a Patridge sight with a vertical white stripe on the sighting face.
It comes undrilled & w/o a pin - so you must clamp it in place to drill a new 1/16" hole through the ramp's pin hole, and reuse the old pin.
The sight's number is: *1-WI-0017-4-

The white stripe could always be blacked out, if not liked/wanted.
