Hi Jim
Could I get your opinion on the new Kimber Talkeetna
I really liked using you .375 this year. It is a beautiful rifle.
I am trying to emulate it in a factory rifle, being canadian, getting the same custom work done that you have had done would be difficult.
For anyone reading this , Jims Rifle are a work of art. Accurate and less recoil than my 3006 TI, or it felt that way to me.
Thanks
Louden

Louden, I've not seen the Talkeetna to have any personal opinion. I do however like the other Kimbers I've seen, and as you know I very strongly prefer a CRF action.
I think Kimber being a rather high end rifle, would need little to no gunsmith effort to make it a great hunting rifle.
Unless you bought an absolute lemon of a gun, I think a CRF Kimber would be a top choice for a hunting rifle.

JJ, You have mentioned having two loaner rifles for your clients, what length of pull are you using for these?

They are stock Pacific research Rimrock stocks. What is factory standard? 13.5"??
They have been used by 10yo kids, and 5' tall ladies. Never any problems. I have a PH that is 7ft tall who has also used it as his backup for a couple hunts. It may not fit anyone of them perfect, but it's pretty nice for them all.
