Does anyone have any pics of Swirlys that have a lot of medium or dark tan in them? I'd like to see them to get a better idea of what the color actually looks like - those little color boxes on McM's website should be pics of finished stocks. Thanks

That portion of their site could use a little work.

I wish that they had an interactive color thing where you could choose which colors you wanted and see what they might look like on a blank stock.
You just select a color and stock pattern (swirly, flame, or camo) and click to where it would go.

Chris, here is a couple of pics of mine. It is medium tan/medium brown. I can't remember, but I think I ordered it 90/10 on the percentages. Hope this helps.

Yes, it would be nice if there was a way you could model them on an interactive sight. While they are laid up by hand and would come out differently, it would still help on the colors and combos.....

That country looks very familiar. \:\)
Think you may have a little more than 10 medium brown there.
I really like that combo.

Search "Desert Camo" and look at pics. I asked McMillan about the tans just a few weeks ago and they said that the Desert scheme is light, medium, and dark tan. I've got something tan-ish coming from them, but it will likely be another 4-5 months before it gets here.

I ordered a dark-tan/med-tan/olive (34%/33%/33%) A5. It won't be here until September however.

Anything good is worth waiting for. I had to wait 6 months to marry my wife after proposal, an imposition by my mother-in-law. It was almost more than I could bear. But, it was definitely worth the wait.
