Hey everyone:

These probably won't last long, so I thought I'd post it here.

CDNN (www.cdnninvestments.com) has received a shipment of FN / Winchester Model 70 actions and barreled actions.

The actions are suitable for short action calibers only (.243, 7mm-08, .308, etc.) and are selling for $299. They have a swing-open floor plate and are compatible with any stock made for a Winchester Model 70.

The barreled actions have your choice of a 20" or 24" fluted barrel in .308 cal only for $399. They have a detachable box magazine and do not accept Winchester stocks (what stocks they do take, I don't know).

Go online to order or call CDNN at 800-588-9500.

They look like the actions that FN is using on their tactical rifles which are CRF. Like these... http://www.fnhusa.com/le/products/firearms/family.asp?fid=FNF048&gid=FNG021

Dang, nice find- I'll call today and find if they have any left.
I've had a guy sitting on a fence about building a medium cal something but was terrified about chopping up a complete winchester.

thanks, CWG

I was wondering when FN would dump that massive amount of inventory left over from New Haven...........

Just beware that those are some real turds, so don't be expecting much.

These are used actions and barrels. My guess is that they are all the returns that FN got from there tactical rifles that wouldn't shoot better than 4" groups and were returned for replacement. I bet my A3G that shot 4" patterns is even in that mess and I still don't have my replacement yet!

Received one in the mail today. No wear marks to be seen on the action itself. The bolt face does have traces of brass. Not sure what I will do with it.

They only have the barreled actions left. I ordered a 24" today, we'll see if it'll work with my left over Coyote Lite stock. If not I'll order a stock and the action will head to the gunsmith (it's probably headed there anyway).

Ok I will clear a few things up for you. They are not used. The brass on the bolt face is the same you get when you buy any other FN. They test fire every one. They are leftovers when they moved to SC. These are from the CT plant. They are crf actions and fluted non chrome lined barrels. They never made this combination as a catalogue product. Just trying to get rid of the leftover stuff marked from the old plant that they cant sell. They shoot just fine. We threw one I got for a guy in a stealth stock with hinged floor plate and it shot 3/4 MOA with the usuall varget SMK combo. I was pretty sceptical my self, but I talked to a guy that was working at the old plant and he bought something like 200 mcmillans off them too. Those are the ones all over gunbroker right now. Anyways you guys can think of them as junk it just leaves more for the rest of us. LOL!

Hope this helps

Jason

I am sorry you are correct. These are infact a PBR XP setup. Ken at CDNN told us they were chrome lined and they are not. That is all. Still shoots fine. At first we thaught they might have been the seconds. Ones that didnt shoot. Or even the batch that had off center bottom metal screws. Theyre not though. Anyways just trying to help you guys if you are looking for a good deal. For that money you could spin the barrel off and throw it in the river, and still be making out good!

Whatever,

I just ordered one (FN) in 308 24". Comes with Picatinny rail and
tactical rings. $425.00 includes shipping.

Seems like a pretty good deal.

I'll mate it to an A3.

Got the two I ordered in last night. Both came with rail/rings, dbm's and are new in appearance. Head space checked and test fired both. Bore scope showed normal factory finished bores without defects. Bolt faces and crowns could be squared up'd a bit. Overall they are great for the money, just need to find mag boxes, springs and folowers.

CDNN is just buy & sell, buy & sell. They are good guys and will not rip you off. If you call and ask, they will tell you what they know, good or bad. they are Texans and straight shooters.

At the website, you must download the pdf of th catalog and then search it. it is the only way to see for yourself.
