.commers,
Be happy with me. The 4 1/2-30X50 Bushy arrived. Thanks Doug.
I compared it with the 3-15X42 Sightron II AO and the 6-24X40 Weaver AO. Because the 12-42X56 NightForece is at the gunsmith getting a tube made so I can use it as a spotting scope easier, it didn't get to play.
First I adjusted the ocular so the crosshair was instantly clear in the Bushnell. The others were already set. The side focus is DELIGHTFUL compared to the others. Never the less, I did get the others adjusted for the 160 yards to the tree.
Since the 3-15X goes to 15X I set them both on 15X. The first and very obvious, no extremely obvious, observation is eye position is not nearly as critical with the Bushnell. The field of view is also noticably larger in the 6500. Moving my head side to side didn't seem to affect the sight picture with the Bushy near as much as the Sightron II. Things would quickly disappear with the Sightron II. Detail was beautiful in both, with the Bushnell getting the nod. The eye relief, as measured from my forehead to the edge of the scope, for the Sightron II is 2 1/2". The Bushnell 6500 is 3 1/4".
Next, I put the 6-24X Weaver up. Since it goes to 24X, that's were I set it. The Bushy was also set on 24X. Again I noticed the more forgiving placement of the eye with the 4 1/2-30X over the 6-24X. The Bushnell has a slight edge in the field of view department, again. Detail is great in both. Eye relief for the Weaver is 2 3/4"; while the Bushnell is still 3 1/4".
I set the Bushnell on 30X and the eye relief stayed at 3 1/4".
The ring spacing is barely under 6", so it is better than the Weaver and the same as the Sightron II.
Some objective bell measurements: 2 1/2-10X40 Tasco - 2.158" 4-16X40 Tasco Worldclass - 2.130" 6-24X40 Weaver - 2.088" 3-15X42 Sightron II - 2.238" 4 1/2-30X50 - 2.280" Not much difference, so ring height for the 40 will most likely work with the Bushnell.
All the scopes were about 14" long except the Bushnell. It is almost an inch shorter at 13 1/8" in length. If they are laid on a table across the room, they all look about the same size; except the Bushnell is shorter.
The scope is going on the K15 7 RUM with a 28" Sisque barrel. Of course the rings will be Burris Signature. What else!

Millett see-thrus, I would have guessed..... to better flatten the trajectory.....

Sounds like the eye relief is considerably less than what Bushnell claims. I thought they were claiming 4" thought the power range.

RDFinn,

Maybe they don't measure to the eyebrow. I am not interested in what a tech comes up with in a lab. I want to know how far is it from my eyebrow. Check some of your own and see if they match the tech sheet; I mean to your eyebrow.

I believe that's from the eye piece lens to the surface of your eye. Your eyebrow protrudes a little further forward than your eyeball.

I think sightron claims 2.5 inches and weaver claims 2.75 inches of eye relief.... ;-)
