Ugly Duckling to a Swan

No before pics but everyone knows what an all blued, 700 ADL (w/ wart) and tupperware stock looks like. Here is the swan.

This is my gift to myself for 21 years of memorable service in the US Navy. I wanted to keep this one simple. Started out an a 7mmRM and then sent to IT&D for the rebarrel, blue, bolt jeweling and remove/rebraze bolt handle.

REM 700 LA magnum
375H&H
Douglas Rem magnum contour (12 twist) crowned at 23"
Rem CDL magnum stock w/ Supercell pad
Leupold Vari-XIII 1.75-6
Leupold QR mounts

It is lighter than expected at 8 pounds 1oz as pictured but that is easy to fix. I was aiming for 8.75lbs. I haven't had it to the range yet and I plan on shooting it before adding any weight. I wanted to match my 338WM which I'm very comfortable shooting. I need to put on some good open sights and that will come when I find a job

. I wonder if Remington has any openings. They need some common sense.

I like a more open grip for bigger bores, but otherwise fine.

The parts all match to arrive at a purpose for which a .375 is normally used. Good build.

Very nice, Just needs a Williams BDL floor plate, that will add a few oz's and get you closer to your target weight!
