While we're on the movie subject, which one is you're favorite? (Although James Bond films have some great chases, I think we ought to rule them out)
I love "White Lightning" and "Gator", but being a MOPAR fan, the original "Vanishing Point" is my favorite, followed closely by "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry".

Yep. "Bullit" was/is tops until "Ronin" came along.
"Bullit" is best watched in the front row of a movie theatre. Feels like you're driving the Mustang.

Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum and Bullet with Steve McQueen, Gator with Burt Reynolds was pretty good and I happen to know the helicopter pilot. His name is Bob Carr and he was 101st Huey pilot in RSVN and then chief pilot of our S.O. aviation divison.

I wouldn't rate The Blues Brothers car chase all that high. But it is without a doubt the Numero Uno car crash movie of all time!!!
