Does anyone make one of these in a A3 config., with a 20-22 inch barrel, in a sporter contour barrel?
I don't understand why manufacturers insist on making bull and HBAR barrels. Too darn heavy to haul around in the woods. IMO

A gunsmith in the Tulsa, OK area has made 3 or 4 out of Shilen blanks that I know of and they all shoot great. Light contour and 22" he goes by LazyD on a few boards, I can send you his contact info in a PM if you like or if you know him just ask for the Arky special. Of course any smith can special build to your needs.

Thanks TWR,
I was hoping to save the extra $300 or so from getting a custom and all. I have a few custom AR's in different cartridges and they deffinately are nice, but most factory barrels shoot good enough for my needs right now, around 1 moa.

You can get a .204 DPMS stainless fluted from Brownells for around $200 or less

Model 1 has a 204 upper but it is a heavy barrel, I think you can get fluteing as an option. They are E.R. Shaw S/S barrels. Don't know any more about them I just saw they offered them a while back
