Here's a good one. An architect in Belgium has come up with 'refuge' floating islands for refugees from climate change. They're floating, self sustaining cities that will hold about 50K people who's homes have been flooded by global warming.

I see a few flaws. They drift with the currents.
He's assuming that all climate change will be toward warming. He fails to address what happens when the ocean currents drift the city into the Arctic and they become part of an iceberg.
Drinking water comes from rainfall. I don't see any options when it drifts into an arid climate where there isn't any rain.
It's supposed to be self sustaining for food, but how about for other essentials like medicines, etc. All machines wear out so how do they manufacture replacement parts for their solar, wind, etc. power units?

I'm sure you can see a few other problems.

When mean sea levels actually change by more than, oh, say four or five inches in a century, I might start paying attention to these loons who claim its gonna rise by feet in a few decades. So far it hasn't, and its getting cooler now. Sorry Al.
