Picked a couple up today and they sure felt nice. I'm curious how they handle recoil and if they're reliable with the light "target" loads.....thanks!

Wish I had one! They are very well regarded. Several people I know just go on and on about them. Sickening really.

People rave especially about the handling of the Ultralight. Recoil isn't mentioned much. They have a decent recoil pad. Most guys are shooting 2 3/4 loads too.

How are they doing with the lighter 1 to 1 1/8 oz loads for targets, doves, etc.??

SOP with these actions seems to be a break in period will iron out most problems with cycling of light loads(if there are any problems).

...I do know the weight and balance of these guns is very akin to the long available Franchi AL48 models. The Franchi however has a reputation earned, not only by it's light weight, but by it's recoiling barrel action, for having a stiff recoil to deal with. The Benelli action ought to have a milder recoil for weight than the Franchi had. I've a Franchi in 20 ga. and can tell you such lightweight guns are superb for snap shooting upland birds..
