Hello,
I've recently bought a used 444 off of gunbroker and was wondering if the 444's have any feeding problems like the one discussed in an earlier post with a 45-70.

Also, who has the best deals on components for reloading. I've checked Graf,Wideners, and Midwest? shooters supply. Delivered it looks like Graf is cheaper by a few dollars. I'm looking in to casting a few bullets and bought a 265gr RF mold from Ranch dog.
Thanks.

Can't help you with the reloading but I have never seen a Marlin .444 with a feed problem. I have shot two of them in the past few years and they both functioned great. A friend of my lent me his new one with the stainless barrell and laminated stock in the XLR configuration. Man is it an awesome rifle. Shoots very accurate and hits deer like a hammer! Congrats on the new gun! I'm jealous!!!!!

One of the reasons I asked is I used to own a 35 cal 336 that would jam a lot. I'll find out soon enough if this one does.
This is an older 2 barrel band model I got off of gunbroker.I picked up a bushnell 2x7 firefly 3200 in the classifieds that I'll mount on it in a couple weeks. One of the reasons I bought it is that it shoots the same diameter bullet as a 44 magnum, which is one of my favorite rounds. I figure it ought to work well on deer and pigs with a 265gr bullet.

That is odd to me... I have never seen or heard of two barrel bands on these rifles. Maybe I am uninformed, if so someone please enlighten me. I have a 1974 M1895 straight stock .45-70 with the half magazine like your's and it doesn't have a second barrel band.

Found another one on gunbroker just like it a few days ago. I started to buy it but decided to see how well this one shoots first. I like the looks of them.
