Maybe this anly effects me??? What I have noticed is that my down bags don't breath very well. Even in my +20 bag I find that my back feels damp at night and when I wake in the morning. I don't get overly hot at night. Most of the time I'm just perfect for temp. This bag does not have a weather proof or resistant shell so I don't understand why it does not breath better. Any ideas or tips?

Do you sleep on your back? Fabric can't breath if its smashed aginst a sleeping pad which is on the ground.

Yes, I sleep on my back. However I don't recall this problem when I had a synthetic bag. That is why I'm confused. It has been a few years though, maybe I just don't remember???

Most bags wont breath on the part that is on the ground. Your synthetic bag was probably wicking the moisture into the bag or staying more lofted. Not real sure how to remedy this maybe someone else will chime in.

Could be that the down is holding the moisture far more than a synthetic bag does as most synthetic bags i've used seem to wick moisture away just fine. It could also be the shell lining on the down bag is not letting the moisture escape but that's just a guess.
