I don't know of any chrono's under $800 that will work in the sunlight. My Chrony won't. My Oehler 35 didn't.

I had an older Chrony Alpha Master that I bought used, and it did the job very well, except that it was pretty picky about shooting over it directly over the center of the sensors, otherwise it returned error readings ...
then, I accidentally shot it about a month ago ... called Chrony, and they sent me a brand new "housing" for a discounted price ... Used it just the other day - very bright clear day, lots of sunlight ...
shot 3 different rifles/loads over it with the chrony set up in the sun with the diffusers on, and it worked flawlessly ...

Interesting. My 35 has only been shot through under clear skies and it's never not read any of the hundreds of rounds through it. Something I can't say about the two other brands I've owned.

Looks like the leads are tieup tograther. I have one and the lines needs to be apart. After I did that it works fine.

Good point!
I had a PACT Professional about 15 yrs. ago and I had the leads zipped tied the exact same way and had no problems!
