Does anyone know of a decent 20 GA O/U besides the stoeger condor that is on the market? I have a soon to be 13 year old who just joined the 4H shooting sports club, I am thinking of getting him an O/U he now shoots a Browning Gold youth model semi auto. I think the O/U might be better suited for the trap and skeet range what are y'alls thoughts on it and what models do you know of?

Mossberg makes the Silver Reserve in a 20 gauge Bantam model with 13 1/4" length of pull. I just bought my short-armed wife a Stevens 512 Gold Wing with 14 1/4" length of pull and cut it shorter, then put a decent recoil pad on it. It is also 13 1/4" now, but lacks the hard rubber recoil pad. Wal-Mart sells the Silver Reserve for about $475. The Stevens was on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods for $499.

I'm not familiar with Mossberg or Savage/Stevens Over/Under scatterguns, but don't rule out CZ O/U's if you want another brand-name to consider.

The CZ 'Redhead' O/U's are a couple hundred dollars more, but still a pretty good value, and the stock would have to be cutdown.
