I don't know about you guys, but I love ACTUAL bullet performance and terminal effects. So let's see those recovered bullets. Please include:
Caliber
Weight (Starting and Recovered [If you know])
Bullet Type (TSX, TBBC)
Range of the Shot
Velocity (if you know it)

I have one:

Caliber: 7X64 brenneke
Original Weight: 10.3 g (160 grains)
Recovered Weight: 5.56 g (86 grains)
Weight loss: 46 % (no bone hit, only soft tissues, bullet recovered under skin; according to commercial announcement, it should have been 1 %)
Bullet type: RWS EVO
Range: 33 yards (driven hunt shot)
Velocity @ 33 yards: theorically about 2723 fps
Target: 200 pounds wild boar, still ran 200 yards + before dying. The boar was quartering away at full speed; bullet hitted on the left rear quarter and went through from rear to front right quarter, hitting the lungs in its way)

Same day, same place, 30 minutes before, I had shot that 265 pounds doe at about the same range and that one was dropped dead in her tracks with the same bullet (better placement: perpandicular lung shot, just under spine), it didn't went through but I've not recovered it.

I have now changed caliber and bullet type, for something that would surely go through the target.

I've got some recovered slugs..
The 2 on the left are Barnes expanders (400grains I think)traveling at 1550 IIRC
The 1 on the right is a Rem Coppersolid (new style travelling at 1600 I think)
Weight retention is 100% on all.
Shot distance was from 70 yds to 130 yds on whitetailed deer.

160gr TSX 7mm Rem Mag est. velocity of 3050 fps.
Smashed into the rear leg of a WT buck running away, broke femur, penetrated guts, lungs/heart, broke a couple of ribs, entered the offside front leg, broke the humerus, and was found against the hide by the neck. DRT is an understatement \:D

Here's the deer (the one on top):

One of those boring old .30 cal 180g Nosler Partitions from my .300 RUM. Not sure of size/weight, etc. Pulled from a cow elk shot at 320 yards or so IIRC. Routed through the hide, ribs, lungs, stuck just inside the hide on the opposite side.
