Someone refresh my memory, do I need to add the GM additive if I am using Mobil 1 grease in a locking diffential?

Is this a factory or aftermarket locker. And I hope you're running gear oil, not grease $\:o$

Factory diff on a GMC, running gear oil, I called it grease by mistake.

I've been running MobilOne 75W/90 synthetic on front and rear diffs in my '03 Sierra and no additive was required.

It was fully compatible with the GM "Grape Juice."

Not sure about GM. In my Ford F150, I still needed to put in the additive.

Call the GM dealer they should be able to help you.
