Bought one of these at the end of last season. When I put it to work on this year's bass/walleyes, I discovered that while it worked the fillet real well, it was lousy for removing the skin: The teeth on the serrated edge were so sharp (almost needle-pointy) that they kept digging into the skin. Solved the problem: Took an old medium grit whetstone and ran it back and forth along the teeth, just enough to dull them slightly. Worked like a charm! Now, my cheap knife is also a good knife.
