I checked into it, about a year ago. It takes 13 different processes and they wanted over $250 for each mount, that took me out of the running, didn't need them that bad. Found a guy that had a bunch of them afterwards and bought 3 99 mounts off him, should have bought more but even the ones without 99 mounts are going high on Ebay nowadays. Check with Steve, he seems to be buying up Boone scopes left and right without 99 mounts so maybe he has some. Also got some 1920, 340, and some 22 Boone mounts off the guy. Tried a few months ago to get some more but never got a reply back.

I had Maddog send me some photos and talked to a machinist who is a customer of mine. I got the same kind of dollar figure and let it go.

Joe, the guy with the gob of Boone parts sold the remainder on ebay and Steve bought them. Odd that there were no 99 bases in that whole lot.

I've got several Boones including one with a post and one with a Lee dot. Wouldn't part with a base because that breaks up the set.

I'm guessing you picked up the remainder of them Mike? Cool, that'll keep you searching for awhile. I'm gonna pick up a 340 in 222 and put one on it when I find a nice one. Found a model 7 that I'm gonna buy and mount a Boone on it to. The Boone mounts for the model 4's, 5's , 6's and 7's are pretty cool. They fit the same holes the #150 peep sights were mounted to. I think a 2 1/4 would be mint on a model 7. I thnk I got a shooter grade 1920 in 300 that I'm gonna put one on as well but might pass on the idea cause I'd like at least a 4 power on it and I don't think those old Boones will last long on a big gun.

Interesting. I didn't realize they were made to fit such a wide variety of guns. Were all of their mounts intended to attach via existing screw holes, or were some meant to have fresh holes drilled?

Some were meant to have holes D&T'd, my Boone mount for the 1920 mounts on the left side and looks like the same center to center as the Marbles S20 tang sight hole spacing. I'll take some pics of them Gary and email them over to you in case you run across something like them. I think the model 340 Boone mount uses the same holes as the #175 peep sight as well. Oh ya, I've got some Boone mounts here for the models 1914, 25 and 29's as well but they look like they've gotta be D&T'd as well. They're flat sided so I'd hazard a guess that they are mounted to the sides of the receivers.

Howdy Gary
well finally had a second to pull the boone stuff and get a pict or two the mount shows some wear and comes with screws. the 4 power is in pieces and needs a mirror glued back in place the original box and holding pouch are there as well. I think the only difference between the 2 and 4 power was the extended eye piece so I think you could just screw the longer eye piece on your 2 power and have a 4 power. If memory serves I have 150 into these and that is what I need to get out of them.
Please let me know
Thanks Chris
