Do you need a taller front sight with the NECG peep rear?

I've got a Ruger No. 1 in 7x57 Mauser and I want to put an NECG peep sight on it, will I need a taller front sight?

I've mounted the NECG peep on two different #1's - one didn't need a different height front, but the other did (they were different config rifles).
I bought two new front sights from NECG anyway - since I wanted to change from the issue bead to an Ivory bead on one gun and a FO bead on the other.

Front sight heights and muzzle diameters vary on the Ruger 77 and No.1. Rear sights are also located at different places on, say an RSI than an M77.
Rangr44, have you measured the height of your front sight above the bore?
How about the height of the NECG aperture above the bore?
I am in the process of adding front, rear blade and NECG aperture sights to 2 Ruger M77s.

I had measured them, back when I added the peep's - but cannot recall the exact height right now (does that make me a politician ?  ).
I'm sorry, that I can't measure them for you now, since I sold one of the rifles, and the sights from the RSI (to mount a Trijicon Safari scope).
IIRC, though, that if you speak with NECG, they will be able to provide the proper height front, when the peep's ordered.

Yes, I have just been getting measurements from other Rugers for comparison to figure which height rear open sight to use. One nice thing about the NECG Universal front sight is that it has about 0.06 inch adjustment in the blade.
